Philodendron "Orange Princess Galaxy” - Exact Plant

Philodendron ‘Orange Princess Galaxy’ is a spectacular collector plant known for its fiery colour and beautifully unpredictable variegation. New leaves often emerge in shades of bright orange, copper, or bronze before gradually hardening to deep green, while splashes, flecks, and marbled markings of yellow, cream, and orange create its signature “galaxy” appearance.

Key Features:

Orange Princess Galaxy has a relatively compact, upright growth habit when young. As it matures, it develops larger foliage and a fuller appearance. Growth may be somewhat slower than an all-green Philodendron because heavily variegated portions of the leaves contain less chlorophyll. Can grow several feet tall with support.

Care Instructions:

Light: Provide plenty of bright, indirect light to encourage strong growth and vibrant variegation. A small amount of gentle morning or late-afternoon sun is usually fine, but avoid intense midday sunlight, which can scorch the lighter areas of the leaves.

Watering: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Avoid overwatering, as the plant is susceptible to root rot. Ensure the pot has proper drainage.

Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity (50% or more). Use a humidifier, pebble tray, or mist occasionally to maintain optimal conditions.

Temperature: Grows best in temperatures between 18–27°C. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 13°C.

Soil: Use a well-draining, nutrient-rich potting mix, such as a blend of peat, perlite, and orchid bark for aeration.

Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer to support healthy, colorful growth. Reduce feeding in fall and winter.

Pruning: Remove yellowing or damaged leaves to encourage new growth and maintain its vibrant appearance.
