Key Features

Size: Can grow 2–4 feet (60–120 cm) tall indoors; larger when given proper support. Can grow 1-2 feet (30-60 cm) wide. 

Growth: Moderate to fast-growing, especially when provided with a moss pole or trellis for climbing

Pet-Friendliness

Toxic to pets: Contains calcium oxalate crystals, which can cause irritation if ingested by cats or dogs. Keep out of reach of pets and small children.

Care Instructions

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its variegated leaves. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the foliage, while too little may cause leaves to turn completely green.

Water: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot.

Humidity: Thrives in higher humidity levels (60%+). Use a humidifier, mist occasionally, or place near a pebble tray for best results.

Temperature: Ideal range is 18–29°C. Keep away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Soil: Well-draining, airy potting mix (a blend of orchid bark, perlite, and peat moss is ideal).

Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4 weeks during spring and summer to encourage healthy growth. Reduce feeding in fall and winter.

Pruning & Support: Trim dead or damaged leaves as needed. Providing a moss pole or trellis will help the plant climb and develop mature foliage.
