Peperomia Rotundifolia (Trailing Jade Peperomia)

Peperomia rotundifolia is a sweet trailing houseplant with small, round green leaves that grow along soft, cascading stems. Its delicate, button-like foliage makes it perfect for shelves, hanging baskets, or mixed plant displays. This plant has a gentle, whimsical look and stays fairly compact, making it a great choice for smaller spaces.

Peperomia rotundifolia is a small trailing plant that typically grows 6–12 inches long indoors, though the vines can become longer with time and good care. It is a slower to moderate grower and tends to stay neat and manageable.

Care Instructions:

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but tolerates medium light. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.

Watering: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry between waterings. This semi-succulent Peperomia is prone to root rot if overwatered. Water less in winter.

Humidity: Adapts well to average household humidity but appreciates slightly higher humidity.

Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 18°C–26°C. Keep away from drafts and cold windows.

Soil: Use a light, well-draining mix such as standard houseplant soil with added perlite.

Fertilizer: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength. Skip feeding in fall and winter.

Pruning: Trim back leggy growth to encourage a fuller plant and maintain shape.

Repotting: Repot every 2–3 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Choose a pot with good drainage.
