Size: The Happy Bean typically reaches 6–12 inches (15–30 cm) tall and wide indoors.

Care Instructions:

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate medium light, but growth may be slower. Avoid direct, harsh sunlight which can scorch the leaves.

Watering: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry before watering. Being semi-succulent, it is sensitive to overwatering. Water sparingly in winter.

Humidity: Adapts well to average household humidity. No extra humidity is required.

Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 18°C–26°C. Keep away from cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C.

Soil: Use a well-draining mix such as succulent or cactus soil, or amend regular potting mix with perlite and sand.

Fertilizer: Feed once a month in spring and summer with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer. No need to fertilize in winter.

Pruning: Pinch back stems to maintain a compact shape and remove any yellowing leaves.

Repotting: Repot only every 2–3 years, as Peperomia ‘Happy Bean’ prefers to stay slightly root-bound.

Pro Tip: Because of its succulent-like leaves, the Happy Bean prefers to be underwatered rather than overwatered. When in doubt, let the soil dry out before giving it a drink.
