The Marble Queen Pothos (Epipremnum aureum ‘Marble Queen’) is a stunning and versatile houseplant, admired for its heart-shaped leaves splashed with creamy white and green variegation. This trailing or climbing plant adds a touch of elegance to any indoor space, whether displayed in a hanging basket, on a shelf, or trained to climb a trellis. Known for its air-purifying qualities and easy care, the Marble Queen Pothos is a favorite for beginners and seasoned plant enthusiasts alike.

Size and Growth:

The Marble Queen Pothos is a fast-growing plant that can reach lengths of 6-10 feet indoors with proper care. Outdoors in tropical climates, it can grow even longer, climbing up to 30 feet.

Pet Friendliness:

The Marble Queen Pothos is toxic to pets if ingested, as it contains calcium oxalate crystals that can irritate the mouth, throat, and stomach. Keep it out of reach of cats, dogs, and small children to ensure their safety.

Care Instructions:

Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate low light, more light promotes faster growth and enhances the plant’s beautiful variegation. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch its leaves.

Watering: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Allow excess water to drain out to prevent root rot, and reduce watering during the winter months.

Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity but adapts well to typical indoor conditions. For extra care, mist the leaves occasionally or use a humidifier.

Temperature: Enjoys warm temperatures between 18-29°C. Keep it away from cold drafts or temperatures below 10°C.

Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix. A mix designed for houseplants or a blend of peat, perlite, and compost works well.

Fertilizer: Feed monthly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer. Skip fertilization in the fall and winter.

Pruning: Trim back long vines to encourage bushier growth and remove any yellowing or damaged leaves to maintain its appearance.

Propagation: Easily propagated through stem cuttings in water or soil, making it easy to share with friends or expand your collection.

Pro Tip: Rotate the plant occasionally to ensure even growth and variegation, as it naturally grows toward the light.
