Alocasia Cuprea "Red Secret"

Key Features:

Size: Grows up to 12–18 inches tall and 10–12 inches wide, making it a compact yet striking focal point.

Pet Friendliness:

The Alocasia Cuprea ‘Red Secret’ is not pet-friendly.  It contains calcium oxalates, which can be toxic to cats, dogs, and other pets if ingested. Place it out of reach of pets and small children.

Care Instructions:

Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch its delicate leaves. It can tolerate lower light, but growth will slow.

Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot.

Humidity: Prefers high humidity (60% or higher). Use a humidifier, pebble tray, or regular misting to keep moisture levels high.

Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures between 18–27°C. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C.

Soil: Use a well-draining, loose potting mix such as a blend of peat, perlite, and orchid bark for optimal root health.

Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid fertilizing in fall and winter.

Pruning: Remove any yellow or damaged leaves to keep the plant looking fresh and healthy.
